What started as a personal challenge Egg Press founder Tess Darrow set for herself to write 30 letters in 30 days has taken on a life of its own. The rest of the Egg Press crew joined in and fellow letterpress company Hello!Lucky jumped in to partner with us on this letter writing campaign, designing a super fun hand-drawn WRITE_ON card featuring narwals and The Eiffel Tower.

From there, things REALLY took off and we are amazed on a daily basis by the enthusiasm people share for this slower and more thoughtful form of communication. As of last week Egg Press and Hello!Lucky had given away nearly 2,000 WRITE_ON kits. That's 8,000 cards. Our presses and shippers have been busy! The unfolding story of WRITE_ON has been both big (check out the #write_on stream on Instagram and Twitter) and small (poignant letters people have sent us about how this challenge has affected them). We are currently working on a little movie to share some of these stories and the impact letter writing has had on us here at Egg Press.

We are still giving away free WRITE_ON kits and welcome anyone who wants to join us. The cards all have a backstamp telling recipients how they can receive their own free cards. Please share your experience online at #write_on (tag @helloluckycards- they are featuring their favorite posts on their blog). We love seeing your adventures in letter writing!

Thank you to everyone who has joined us on this journey. We are so inspired by you...
Write on!
