Egg Press News May 2009
Video Debut: As promised, the 3 minute film short “Egg Press Work and Whirl” is available here for your viewing pleasure. The film was shot, directed and edited by Rob Tyler, a Portland filmmaker known for his work on the documentary “A Thing of Wonder” and his other film shorts such as “Color + Modulation” and “Novice Robots.”
All the hands shown in the film are those of the actual Egg
Press designers and printers and every ounce of the film
was shot in our studio in Portland, Oregon. Additionally,
our screenprinter and production artist, Danny Seim,
scored the film. While Danny is pretty famous in our
studio as local friend and funny guy, he’s pretty well
known outside our studio as one very prolific and talented
musician for both Menomena and Lackthereof.
New York Stationery Show: We are working away to
finish up the last few designs for our May release and
running around doing last minute preparations for the
New York National Stationery Show at the Jacob K. Javitz Convention Center which is being held May 1720th this year. We have a new location this year, booth #2252. We’d love to get a visit from you if you’ll be attending!
New Cards Online: Lastly, it’s that Congratulations time of year. In anticipation of the upcoming graduation season
we have put a handful of “congrats” card designs on our website. They range from the sweet to the sassy with messages like “Hooray,” “Triumph!,” and “You Rock.” Good luck picking out the right card. And congratulations if you do!
We hope you enjoy the film!! And we hope that our thrill
for having made it 10 years, and feeling more blessed as
a company than ever, is coming through!
